Hannah Crandall- Part-time Lead Vocalist:
Hannah's vocals command the stage like she was born on it, with smoky lows that roll like thunder and velvety highs that make the crowd hold its breath. Her singing is almost confessional, pulling the listeners into every lyric. Her performances are intense with hair whipping and vocals that seem to tear the sky open! She currently fronts Cleveland's own "TRUSS". You can find their music, which includes 3 albums of rocking original tunes on Spotify.
Hollis Mahady - Part-time Lead Vocalist & Keyboards:
Hollis’s powerhouse vocals hit like a freight train—raw, soaring highs and grit-soaked lows that pull every listener in—while her keys add even more fire to the stage. Her presence is pure rock-star energy as she commands both mic and keys. Founder and former frontwoman of London’s Love Zombies, she’s recorded at world-class studios including Abbey Road and worked with producers Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses) and Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age) on her original music. Now based in Cleveland and releasing her own music independently , Hollis brings that same unstoppable passion and authenticity to Medusa.
Shayla Sisco- Lead Vocalist & Guitar:
Shayla's the youngest full-time member, but it doesn't show; she's up there with some of the best guitarists, and has a voice to match. On stage, she's pure cool confidence. Her guitar is one with her, and she moves to a natural rhythm all her own. Her voice is her weapon as she sings in her animated style that cannot be denied. She's trained in musical theatre and has a large presence in the Cleveland Jam community. She also has her own original project, Rainbow Captain.
Kathy (James) Shadley- Guitar and backup Vocals:
Kathy is no stranger to the guitar. She's the band's shred queen, mixing classic rock swagger with modern edge. She got her start in SWAK (Sealed with a Kiss), an '80s all-girl band, aka Cleveland's Sweethearts, that played throughout Northeast Ohio. She also studied at the Cleveland Conservatory of Music and taught guitar lessons at several music studios. She also plays in a second all-female band, the Queen Bees.
Adriane Bennet-Bassist and Vocals:
Adriane's the steady one, calm, focused, and effortlessly cool, while giving the band their signature heavy groove. She's a long-time member of the Cleveland Blues Society and plays in several other bands, including "Brave and Crazy," a Melissa Etheridge Tribute Band.
Barb (Garries) Longstreth-Percussion:
Barb, the most recent addition, is a powerhouse on drums. She’s the heartbeat of the group. She got her start insisting that she play drums in her school marching band and wouldn’t take no for an answer. With that said, she was one of the first female drummers in the Cleveland area. She’s taught drums for most of her career and continues to teach. She and Kathy, the original guitarist, played in the popular ’80s band SWAK, (Sealed with a Kiss), aka Cleveland’s Sweethearts.
